The IMO SI40-PEL64R-2 DC Isolator is a robust, high-performance isolation switch designed specifically for Solar PV installations, providing safe and reliable disconnection of DC circuits between the solar array and inverter.
IMO's advanced switching mechanism uses a spring-assisted snap-action design, allowing the contacts to open rapidly when the handle is operated. This fast switching action helps suppress the electrical arc created when interrupting a constant DC load, with the arc typically extinguished within 3 milliseconds.
For additional safety during installation, servicing and maintenance, the rotary handle can be padlocked in the OFF position, preventing accidental reconnection while work is being carried out on the inverter or PV system.
Built for demanding indoor and outdoor environments, the enclosure carries both IP66 and NEMA 4X ratings, providing excellent protection against dust, water and harsh weather conditions.
